First and Second Steps
Synopsis
Dear Leaders,
In order to better disciple our new believers and members in our church, we have revamped our First Steps and will be launching a brand new Second Steps!
The revamped First Steps contains a new section on “Discovering Jesus and the Gospel”. This new section will help new believers understand who Jesus is, why He had to die for us and how they can have faith in Jesus. The other lessons on basic spiritual habits have also been refreshed and updated.
What else should we teach our new believers after they finish First Steps? Beyond the foundational lessons in First Steps, the new Second Steps aims to help believers to continue their journey with Christ. The lessons will build believers to grow in relating to God personally, being involved in their community in Christ and living wisely, knowing what they can look forward to at the end of their lives. Second Steps can also be used for existing believers at Step B of the ABCD journey or others who may need to be discipled in these topics. You can also use Second Steps in your life group meetings.
Let’s use these resources to disciple and equip our people through follow-up, mentoring and our lifegroup so that we can better fulfil the Great Commission together!
